Biography

Cecilia Stenbom was born in Stockholm, Sweden. Cecilia studied at Academy of Fine Art in Helsinki, where she completed a Bachelor of Fine art degree. In 2003 Cecilia moved to Scotland to do a Master of Fine Art degree at Glasgow School of Art. After completing her MFA in 2005 she moved to the North East of England where she currently lives and works.

Cecilia’s works to date have included photography, objects, animation, books and installation although her main focus lies in video and drawing.

Cecilia has been exhibited and screened in the UK, Finland, Sweden, Norway Germany, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Kosova, Serbia, Hungary, Russia, U.S. and Canada. She is represented by Workplace Gallery, Gateshead.
